How far would you go to protect your family?
Danny and Libby are about to face every parent's worst nightmare.
When eight-year-old Hope Bird disappears without a trace from the idyllic village where she lives, life for her family will never be the same again. Her parents know she would never have gone off alone and the police have no idea where she is. Then a child's shoe is discovered and the case takes an unexpected turn. Soon a suspect is identified but this is only the beginning.
Will they ever find Hope?
Frailty is a haunting, gritty, psychological story about the choices we make.

If you like being bogged down by details, reading what the characters are thinking, examining every little emotion then you might enjoy this book. However, I like a story that moves along at a reasonable pace. By halfway through the story I skipped to the last two chapters and finally found the action. Even the ending was very unsatisfying. Will not read this author again!Product details

Frailty (Audible Audio Edition) Betsy Reavley Ally Murphy Bloodhound Books Books Reviews
During the entire read, I was working on trying to figure it all out. I read and read and read. As it turned out? I failed!
This book was gripping from the beginning. The twists in the plot kept you guessing. Definitely a tragic story but well written.
I really enjoyed this book. It kept me turning the pages quickly to find out what was going to happen and was full of unexpected twists and turns. I couldn't imagine the horror the parents must have felt when their child went missing. The characters were well-developed and you so wanted to see a happy ending. Definitely would recommend this book to others.
Like other readers, I found this story reeling me in, and I found my own self desperate for answers. I was, however, really disappointed with the ending. I can't give a reason for my disappointment without giving away the ending. I love how the writer is able to make the reader "feel" the emotions, fears, strengths, and weaknesses of the characters. In my own personal opinion, this is one of the best books I've EVER read, but the ending, as it relates to Hope, was very disappointing.
The author tackled a topic often in crime novels a child(s) in life or death circumstances. I think the approach to the story did not prepare me for the end. I cried. I won't disclose happy or sad tears. The emotional gauntlet in this story is brutal and rewards those readers at the end. Why not 5/5? There is a torture (not involving a child) thread in the story, where a parent is trying to get information from a "suspect" just too much for me. That's just me. Author's story telling abilities are very good.
I read this book over the course of 2 days every time I got some free time. Very good book that kept me interested and engrossed in what was going to happen.
Thank you!
I enjoyed the majority of this book until the very end -- I felt as though the end events happened much too quickly and without enough detail or logic. Otherwise, the rest contains plot twists, challenges, and does not contain a cliche happy ending I somewhat expected. I read it all in one sitting, but it left something to be desired.
